Abstract Submission

       Abstracts for the NDAS Annual Meeting are due March 1, 2014.  The 2014 Abstract Guidelines are available in .pdf format here.  Abstracts should be submitted to ndas@ndacadsci.org. Attach your communication and associated graphics files to the email with the subject line reading : NDAS ABSTRACT.  Please DO NOT send .pdfs.  Send the abstracts in .doc, .rtf or .pages format. Please include the category of your submission (undergraduate, graduate, professional) within the body of the  e-mail.  All submitted abstracts are accepted unless you receive an email specifying otherwise.  All submitted abstracts should receive an automated email reply indicating that your abstract has been received.


Presentations

    All presentations are oral presentations. The academy does not sponsor a poster session.  All presentations consist of a 15 minute talk followed by a 5 minute question and answer period.  A LCD projector and computer will be available.

Tentative Schedule and Venue
       
        The 2014 Annual Meeting of the North Academy of Science will be held at Valley City State University in Valley City, ND.  All meals will be served at the conference center.  A .pdf copy of this year's schedule is available here.

        The evening's plenary speaker will be Dr. Donald Schwert.  Dr. Schwert is a professor of Geology and chair of the Department of Geosciences at North Dakota State University.  Dr. Shcwert's talk is entitled: "The Geology of Surface Waters of North Dakota." 

 
Registration and Hotel

        Please fill out the registration form on the 'Registration' page.  You may pay via your paypal account or by credit card.  Registration for the annual meeting is a separate process from membership.  To join NDAS or renew your membership please fill out the form and submit your payment on the 'Membership' page.

        A block of rooms has been arranged at the AmericInn in Valley City for Wednesday and Thursday nights.  You may reference the North Dakota Academy of Science.  We are receiving the state rate of $74.70 for both nights.  Reservations must be made by April 1st to ensure a room and the quoted rate.  Reservations can be made by calling:  1-701-845-5551.
